Thoreau High School Celebrates Women's History Month |
Thoreau High School National Honor Society organized a presentation with Honorable Council Delegate Amber Crotty of the 25th Navajo Nation Council for Women’s History Month. She spoke on her acts of service and vocation to the Navajo Nation, including her commitment towards improving the treatment of Indigenous women. She gave encouraging advice on college life and how she has built herself up to be a beacon of service for her community. |

Camille's Cafe Teacher of the Month |
Ms. Kayonnie, an English teacher from Hiroshi Miyamira High School, was awarded Teacher of the Month by Camille's Cafe. She was nominated by her students for her supportive and encouraging nature in the classroom. |

Little Speakers, Big Impact |
During our Cultural Education Department Language Conference, students attended and showcased their language skills. David Skeets Elementary Princess Calnia Kaamasee began the conference with the Pledge of Allegiance in Navajo. Twin Lakes Princess Teagan Tso and Lil' Miss Twin Lakes Elishia Tso also performed a song in Navajo. These students demonstrated confidence and made a lasting impression at the three-day event.

Tohatchi Senior Bailey Chato and Crownpoint Senior Kathryn Francisco have both been named Senior of the Year by the Gallup Rotary Club. The Senior of the Year event will be on April 8th at 11:30 am to honor students.
